What does it take to rent a trailer from Premier?

Begin by filling out our online account application and submitting it to Premier for a quick response by our credit team. Generally we are looking for companies who have been in business for 2+ years, have a medium five-figure average bank balance or better, and have three commercial trade references all in good standing.

Why is a credit application required?

As a trailer leasing company, we don’t just love our trailers; they’re the cornerstone of our business. To make sure we can protect our assets and build long-lasting, win-win customer relationships, we have to make sure we are a good fit for potential new partners, and they for us. By filling out the credit application on our website, you allow us to better understand your business, so we can review a potential partnership.

What are your credit requirements?

Premier provides trailer rental, leasing, and sales to established, commercial businesses only. Generally speaking, we are looking for companies who have been in business for 2+ years, have a moderate five-figure average bank balance or better, and commercial trade reference all in good standing.

We know these requirements can be tough for some small businesses, start-ups, and owner-operators.

Please know, these requirements are meant to protect our business and existing customers here at Premier, not because we’re not rooting for you! If you feel there is additional information or there are special circumstances we should know about, always include them in the credit application or contact our branch teams directly.

Can I reapply if I have been denied in the past?

If you didn’t qualify in the past, you can always try again. If your situation has changed since the last time we said, “not right now”, we’d love to review a new application.

When is the best time to apply?

Even if you don’t need to supplement your fleet with Premier trailers at the moment, the best time to submit your credit application is now. Once your account is set up, you are ready to go when the need arises.

What type of insurance do I need?

We require $1 million in combined single limit auto and general trailer liability coverage listing Premier as additional insured. Physical damage coverage is also required with a maximum deductible of $3,000 listing Premier as loss payee. In lieu of physical damage coverage you may be eligible to purchase a physical damage waiver from Premier. Please contact your local branch for more information.

Do Premier trailers come equipped with trailer tracking? How much does it cost?

I need to rent a van. How much does it cost?

There are many variables involved – trailer specifications, length of term, and strength of credit, among other factors. By applying for an account online along with your particular trailer leasing or rental needs, we can promptly provide you with a quote.

Can you send me pricing before I fill out an application?

Because pricing may depend not only on the type of equipment you need, but also on how many trailers you require, how many our team can provide to you, your location, and more, we typically need to review the information you share during the credit application process before we can provide pricing.

Does Premier sell or finance trailers?

We have an inventory of used trailers for sale at all times. We can sell the trailers outright or custom tailor financing solutions for you.
